GOING BACK TO THE BASICS The lake Dickson area, it is still one of the remote and primitive areas of the Park, being less visited, so therefore, it remains as a quite place. Nevertheless, it is probably the most beautiful area of all, with a full variety of natural wonders for the trekkers to enjoy, such as : Blue or emerald colour lakes, a view of the Paine’s Towers, granite walls at the mountains, glaciers at the edge of the Ice Field, one of the most representative native tall woods of Patagonia, lagoons, nice and soft trails, flora and fauna, and some spirit of the old estancia times All together in one corner of the Park, with all the services for you to enjoy an eco-adventure.
The Big Circuit it is rated as one of the three most beautiful Mountain Trails of the world by outdoor publications. So you have such a great and amazing natural scenario to explore, enjoy and experience in Patagonia. Weather wise, it could get a little rough up there even in the summer, but we offer our expertise and support to go over El Paso and do it, so you do not come back or waist your days hoping for perfect conditions As mountain lovers, we know it is always worth to get up there and capture with your own eyes and spirit the great view of the grandness of the Ice Field and one of its arms, glacier Grey in full extension ( about 20 kms ).

Los Perros
is a Mountain Camping ( 700 mt asl ) next to Los Perros river and right in the middle of a nice “ lengas “ wood. Close by to glacier Los Perros, with a lagoon with icebergs, and glacier Puma. It is the resting-stop before going over the pass ( or after ). From here you can do a half-day hiking excursion to glacier Puma, a mountain glacier at the rich of your hand.
Going over the John Gardner Pass with some help.
We provide service of Full Board ( Bed at refugios or Tent at campings + 3 Meals ) all along the Big Circuit, plus the service of pack horses or a porter to carry gear. This is an alternative for those who are eager to walk and explore all the way, but not willing to carry heavy stuff. You are here to enjoy outdoors and not to win a contest. Enjoy the experience and leave the rest to us. |
