 |  Program of 2 days that will allow you to explore the backyard of Torres del Paine. A remote area of the Park, that has all the beauty of which Patagonia has to offer. Nice beech forests, tall trees, lakes, rivers, streams, glaciers, rugged mountains, etc. You add to all this landscape, a fun 4x4 ride, a horseback ride, a soft trek, a good As ado al Palo (typical lamb barbecue ) with a good wine, perhaps some sunset or a little moonlighting. Be out if the regular path, go further for better.

Day 1. Santiago / Punta Arenas
12:30 Arrive to Punta Arenas airport, reception by our guide, private transfer to the city. 13:00 Luncheon at a restaurant. Short city tour. 15:00 Transfer to Puerto Natales in a regular Tour by Penguin Colony at Otway sound and by Río Verde small village. Snack on the way. 18:30 Program check up at the main office. 20:30 Welcome dinner at restaurant Cristal. Lodging at Hotel in Puerto Natales (***).
Day 2. Puerto Natales / Refugio Dickson
07:00 Breakfast. 08:00 Private transfer in a 4x4 Safari to Torres del Paine with sightseeing stops, mirador of lake Sarmiento, mirador of laguna Amarga, an stop for a panoramic view of Paine Massif and the Towers. 10:30 at Laguna Amarga. 11:00 We keep the 4x4 Safari to lake Paine ( La Victorina ), by an scenic old estancia track, following the north side of the Paine river valley. At the first part, at the top of the hill, a panoramic view of the whole park ( lake Nordenksjold, estancia Las Torres, lake Pehoe, all the way to glacier Tyndall, by the end of the Ice Field ), then along the road, view of beech forests, tall trees woods, colourful lakes, rivers, streams, lagoons. At La Victorina, a nice flat grassy area, we meet the Baqueanos with the horses.
13:00 Pic-nic lunch at La Victorina, with time to enjoy a typical "mate" ( local herb tea ).
14:00 Horse ride excursion from lake Paine to Dickson ( 3 hrs ), by and easy trail, fallowing the valley and enjoying the view. We go by the bank of lake Paine, cross Caiquenes river, cross a wet land section and go by tall woods. Nice view of the summits at the back of Paine Massif ( Mt. El Escudo, a giant granite wall, Mt. Cabeza de Indio, the tops by glacier Los Perros area ) and a good view of glacier Dickson at the other side.
20:00 DINNER : a good backyard "Asado al Palo" ( typical open fire Lamb barbecue ) with a good wine to go along.Lodging at refugio Dickson, for nice resting night, in the heart of Patagonia.
Day 3. Dickson / Puerto Natales
08:00 Breakfast. 09:00 Horse ride back to lake Paine ( Optional :
Trekking along with the horses, so you do stretch those legs ).
12:30 Pic-nic lunch at La Victorina. 14:00 We take the 4x4 Safari back to Laguna Amarga, with time for capturing the last pictures
16:00 Private Transfer to Puerto Natales, with some additional sightseeing stops to capture new angles of this changing landscape.
18:30 at Puerto Natales. 20:00 Farewell dinner at restaurant Cristal. Lodging at Hotel (***).
Day 4. Puerto Natales / Punta Arenas
08:00 Breakfast. 09:00 Private Transfer to Punta Arenas, airport or downtown. 13:00 Flight back to Santiago.
