Hostels : Smaller than a regular Hotel, with the same commodity, but with a more personalized service, in most cases, family attended. Some of them could be with shared bathrooms. Dinning facilities and bar. Fax & Internet.
OUT OF TOWN
Hostelries :
Rated with 2,3 or 4 stars, located in the country side, with dinning facilities, bar. Rooms with private bathroom or shared bathroom in some. Phone or VHF radio.
Estancias : Active working Estancias ( ranch ) with Lodging facilities, private or shared rooms & bathrooms. The dinning area, in most cases, is the regular family dinning room, sharing and interacting. This are part of a Agro-Tourism development, getting very popular. Perfect place for Asado al Palo ( typical Lamb open fire barbecue ).
Refugios :
Lodging facilities with shared rooms & bathrooms. ( you buy a bed not a room ). With dinning area, living area, hot showers, cooked meals & bar service. VHF radio. Basically located in remote areas, for an indoor resting stop, each night, as part of a trekking circuit. They provide simple and basic accommodations.
Campings : We use Tents wherever there is no Refugio, or you did not get a bed. In some programs we may use them for the freedom of staying overnight at a great spot, right into mother nature’s backyard.
We use Tents for 3 persons but we only fit 2 passengers, to give you more room. Dome shape with vestibule.
