ABOUT RESERVATIONS  /  for Programs and Services

All reservations should be made in writing, sent by Fax or e-mail. One of our representatives will contact you and confirm your reservations by Fax or e-mail.

Blockings

A reservation without a Pre-Payment Deposit, will be considered as a tentative reservation, just a Blocking, which could be turned into a Firm Booking only by making a deposit.

Pre-payment Deposit   ( by doing this you agree to the terms of General Conditions )

To secure a Firm Booking, a Deposit of 50 % of the total amount should be made 60 days before the arriving date

Full Payment

15 days before arriving, or using any of the services, you should complete a full payment ( the other 50 % ).

Cancellations and Reimbursement

In case of cancelling a Reservation, a charge would be made, taken out of the pre-payment Deposit.

59 to 30 days before arriving, you will be charged  25 %  of the pre-payment deposit.

29 to 15 days before arriving, you will be charged  50 %  of the pre-payment deposit.

14 to  0  days before arriving, you will be charged  50 %  of the Full Payment already made.

 

VOUCHERS  /  as an Invoice

For any service reserved by our Agency, you should get a Voucher of Andescape, a document that will enable you to get the services you bought at every and each establishment or provider. This voucher will specify :

Name of the customer or group / number of the document / days of use of services ( IN & OUT dates ), and a writing detail of the services you have bought.

When you do Reserve by e-mail or fax, you should make sure you get the vouchers in advance or stop at our office before you show up at any location. A copy of a fax or e-mail will not be a proof of secured reservation.

Not Transferable. It is Valid only for the person or group named in it. In case you lose it, you can ask for a copy and valid it with a passport identification ( you can call to our office, even from the refugios ).

Dates In & Out.  It is only valid for the dates writing in it, In & Out, so for changes or cancellations refer to general conditions explained above.

Invalidation Do not write or do any alterations on a Voucher, it will automatically be invalid.

 

TAX FREE PRIVILEGE  /  without 19 % of Sales Tax

A privilege for Lodgings establishments, including the service of Room or bed and any other services offered at it.   It only applies to Foreigners with a Tourist Visa, staying overnight at a Hotel or Refugio.

* Customers should show Passport and Visa ( the ticket for 90 days ), when checking in at every single place. Otherwise you will be charged the 19 % of sale tax.       Make sure, some establishments do not have this privilege.

Customers from Camping having services at the refugio, should pay with sale tax.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAMS

Set Dates : the departing dates suggested for the Programs, operate with a minimum of 2 participants.

Prices :The prices of each program, may vary according to the final number of participants in the group.

Itinerary : We could change the itinerary of any particular program because of Weather Conditions, Security reasons, incompatibility among participants or any mayor cause that forces us to do so. The responsibility it will be of our Group Leader Guide.

 

Personal Information : All the information solicited about personal data, experience, physical condition, medical compatibility with the practice of outdoor activities, medical treatments, dieting conditions and insurance company, are all very important for the service agreement between Client and Operator.

It is also very important for the service we can provide to you in case of any emergency. Absolute privacy.

Accident Insurance : At Torres del Paine National Park you are covered by Accident Insurance that covers for land transport to a medical centre and medical expenses for up to about U$ 1.000 ( one thousand US dollars ). While transporting in Chile, by law, all the transports companies should have an insurance.

In all cases, the amounts of coverage might not be big enough, so we advice to get your own accident insurance at your country of origin, that will cover for transport, medical expenses and extra expenses for recovering.

Lost Items : Andescape will be not held responsible for lost luggage or their contents without any previous declaration of their value. We will also not be held responsible for lost or forgotten personal items.

 

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Because of using in our programs, independent contractors, ground operators, hotels, transportation companies, drivers, airlines, and other suppliers and we do not own, operate or manage these entities, we can not be liable for any acts or omissions, negligence, reckless or wilful acts, on their part. Andescape Ltda. assume no responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or death to person or property arising from the negligent act of any person who is to provide services for the trips or for the action or inaction of a third party.

When you do a Pre-payment deposit , the depositor agrees to be bound by the above recited terms and conditions.
